REPORT ON HPMI NEWCASTLE WEEKEND

HPMI’s 3rd Annual Healthcare Professionals’ Conference and Exhibition held at Newcastle City Hall 31 July and 1 August, 2010, was a great success with 250 participants. The Theme for the weekend was Team Based Care, and the Conference attracted approximately 120 Registrants, made up a broad range from the medical community, including General Practitioners and Trainees, Specialists, Junior Medical Officers, Practice and Community Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Administrative Staff and Students.

HPMI wishes to express its sincere appreciation to all Presenters for their continuing support in our provision of quality Continuing Professional Development. The standard of presentations was very high, and there was a collegiate atmosphere with local presenters and local participants discussing how to deal with difficult clinical problems from a multi discipline team approach. Speaker’s presentations will be accessible by registrants and members via HPMI’s website. Please contact HPMI for details of how to access these.

HPMI also wishes to thank Sponsors for their support, especially the Hunter Area Health Service for enabling us to provide our Members with Free Registration. The Greater Building Society for their support of the Dinner. This was a wonderful evening at The Newcastle Club at which HPMI celebrated its 30th Anniversary.
